History

Shortly after the First World War created a major military airport in Liege with a grass track of more than eight hundred meters , and four large hangars.
The barracks The Cubber was built in 1921 and named after Ltn Léon Adelin the Cubber ( 1893-1917 ), an observer of the 3rd Squadron which was downed at Dixmude in 1917 . In 1946 lived here many Italian families of miners . The soldiers have left a long time the buildings, some companies were using some of the buildings. In the courtyard is still the base on which ever one Hawker Hunter Mk4 and later has been an Alouette II .
